Yvette Rivers, a final year college student, and her best friend Alicia Fox have been tasked with writing a methodology paper that they both have gone to great lengths to complete. Yvette joins a celibacy group while Alicia encourages Yvette to pretend to auction her virginity online via a questionable website for observational purposes. They both think they have outdone themselves until Yvette finds herself falling for a detective, Kevin O'Neil, from the celibacy group who is supposedly a recovering sex addict, while Alicia falls for his partner, Nathan Manu.
